Takydromus sexlineatus - Asian grass lizard
As I am sifting through the bushes and long grasses for bugs, I occasionally come across this lizard. Sometimes all you see is the head of what looks like a green snake, which to me spells danger.
This is another lizard that has confidence in its camouflage, and so with very slow movements, you can get close enough for a decent shot. Make one mistage, and the colourful creature is gone in a flash.
Location is Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Open scrubland, with a few bushes, near a stream.
The Asian grass lizard, six-striped long-tailed lizard, or long-tailed grass lizard is an arboreal, diurnal species of lizard. The tail length is usually over three times the body length in this species.
