Diagnosis 
CommentConservation: G. luii may have been extirpated from its type locality due to commercial or pet hunting but is also now readily available from captive breeders (Science 318: 915 [2006]).

Sympatry: G. lichtenfelderi hainanensis.

EtymologyNamed in honor of Wai Lui “who sent six years tracking the existence of these populations” (GRISMER et al. 1999).
