Welcome to the home of St Hild and St Bede College Chapel Choir, a vibrant student-run choir made up of undergraduates and postgraduates from across Durham University.
Weekly Services
During university term times, the chapel choir sings weekly services of evensong on Wednesdays and eucharist on Sundays. Everyone is welcome to join us.
Cathedral Tours
Throughout the year, the choir regularly resides at cathedrals across England. The academic year 2021-22 has seen the choir sing choral evensong at Durham Cathedral, York Minster, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and St Mary’s Cathedral.
Our Covid-19 Commitment
We operate following the most recent government and university guidelines for the safety of our choir and congregation. All our singers and ministers are required to be tested for Covid-19 before all services and rehearsals.
Our space is well ventilated and spacious for social-distancing measures. Hand sanitiser and disposable masks are available upon entry. No ticket required for entry.
