Self-Driving Into the Future: Full Code Conference Video of Google's Sergey Brin

Future Boy stops in to tell us what's to come.

As promised, we’re starting to post the full videos of interviews from the recent Code Conference.

A new video of one of the many stellar speakers for the event, which took place just over a week ago in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., will go up every day. (You can see a compilation video here.)

Today, it’s time to visit the future with the never-ever-boring Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google. You might have heard of that company, the search giant that runs the Internet universe.

Brin, though, has not much to do with that, as he is aiming out of this world as one of the leaders of Google X, the “moonshot” division of the Silicon Valley company. He’s the inspirational leader of the division, which has launched self-driving cars, high-flying balloons that deliver Internet access, Google Glass and more.

In this interview with Walt Mossberg and me, Brin talked about the futuristic projects, focusing on the expansion of its self-driving car efforts with the unveiling of Google’s first one built from scratch, a kind of clown car with no steering wheel and no brake pedals.

There’s more than that here, so enjoy:

And here’s a video of a fun ride that Liz Gannes and I took in the new Google car:
