Sorbus aria 'Magnifica' Sorbus aria 'Magnifica'

This variety has a narrow spherical crown when young. It is a slow grower, the crown becoming broad ovoid only at a later stage. Because of this, plus the fact that it stands up well to hard surfaces, it is eminently suitable as an avenue and street tree. Height 8 - 12 m. The leaves, that remain on the tree for a long time, and the flowers are identical to those of the species. The fruits are a little larger and orange to cherry-red in colour. Winter hardiness zone: 5a Sorbus aria 'Magnifica' is eminently suited for planting in closed hard surfaces. At a later age the crown is almost completely round.
