Back in 1994, Mazda built a special-edition MX-5 exclusive to the US market called the M Edition. It’s relatively a rare Miata, as Mazda only produced 3,000 of these M Edition models over the course of a few years.

One of these 3,000 units is now going up for bids on BringATrailer. It’s by no means a unicorn, but it’s still a decent find, especially since this 1994 model has just about 13,000km on its odometer.

It’s still in excellent condition as well, sporting a clean Montego Blue Mica finish. It’s available with both a body-color hardtop and a tan soft top that matches the interior. It sits on polished 14-inch alloy wheels.

The inside, as mentioned, also features tan upholstery. The leather on the seats, the dash, and the panels, as well as the Miata-branded floor mats and footwells, all appear to be in good shape and show no signs of aging whatsoever. The plastic trim and the wood accents on the shift knob and the handbrake look spotless, too.

The 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox on this Miata has been retained. This engine was factory rated at 128hp and 149Nm of torque. Documents show that the oils and the fluids as well as the spark plugs on this car have recently been changed.

As of this writing, the current bid is at $20,250 or roughly P1.02 million in local currency with seven days left to go in the auction. How much money would you shell out for a Miata like this?

NOTE: This lot was sold for $24,500 (P1.26 million) on October 27, 2021.
