A WOMAN who says cruel taunts by men about her oversized genitals left her ashamed to have sex has forked out £3,000 for surgery to have them reduced.

Antonia, says she endured years of pain due to the size and appearance of her vagina but was turned down by the NHS for treatment.

So instead she splashed out £3,100 of her own money to go private and have labiaplasty to reduce the excess skin.

However, she was left unhappy with the results after the left labia healed perfectly but the right side ended up 'swollen and deformed'.

Antonia features of the BBC Three documentary 'My Unusual Vagina', where she talked candidly about her 'embarrassing problem'.

She admitted how one previous partner told her: "I can’t wait to sleep with someone with a normal vagina", while another cruelly added: "You’ve got a pair of balls."

And she also explained how her labia even got burned in the sun, when she was on a girls' holiday.

Antonia said: "The skin flaps are like elastic bands, if I was to pull them I could get them down to my thigh."

"For me sex is difficult, because it can hurt and feel uncomfortable.

"How are you supposed to enjoy it when the main organ that you would use you feel completely embarrassed by, and then on the other hand it hurts physically. It is not an aspect of my life that is explored and enjoyed."

She later said that she had searched for images online of vaginas and felt her only option was to go under the knife.

However, three weeks after the surgery at Fitzroy Surgery in London, she has to revisit the clinic after she is not 100 per cent happy with the result.

She added: "What I have now I should just be happy that it is better than what I had before.

"I would say it looks like a double cheeseburger, I wouldn't say it’s an actual sealed bun, but the meat is tucked inside it, it’s not a like a Big Mac with the fillings hanging out."

My Unusual Vagina is available on BBC Three iPlayer.

Last week, we reported how a lingerie model had ‘designer vagina’ surgery to help with pain of her ‘deformed’ genitals.
