Welcome to the family, baby Riot Rose! The first images of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's new family of four were released on September 19, and the couple's youngest son is already stealing the show.

The photos were taken by celebrity photographer Miles Diggs (also known as DIGGZY), who famously debuted Rihanna's first pregnancy with that now-iconic pink puffer jacket shoot in snowy Harlem in 2022. We get our first full look at baby Riot Rose, who was born at the beginning of August 2023, and first-born RZA stepping into big brother duty. There's adorable shots of A$AP Rocky holding Riot, the parents cooing over Riot, and Rihanna cuddling the newest addition to their family.

It was just earlier this month that the name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's second child was revealed, with the two musicians sticking to an alliterative theme for their family. As noted by People, who obtained the birth certificate, baby Riot Rose Mayers was born on August 1 at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. He joins big brother RZA Athelston, who was born in May 2022. Both Rihanna and A$AP's legal names — Robyn and Rakim — also begin with “R."

People also notes that in July, Rocky released his single “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe'n)," which could have been a sly allusion to his future son's name — or perhaps the baby was named after his dad's song. According to Entertainment Tonight, Riot's middle name Rose was also reportedly inspired by his dad. "Not everyone knows this, but Rocky loves flowers — he loves having fresh flowers in the house, he loves decorating with flowers, and he even had real flowers in his grill once," a source told the outlet.

The new parents initially kept RZA's name private; it wasn't released for nearly a year after his birth, though both parents did hint at it by wearing RZA shirts on occasion. (RZA is an iconic member of the Wu-Tang Clan, and the name is pronounced like “Riz-za.”) In Rihanna's British Vogue profile, her first child was referred to solely as “baby,” likely to preserve his privacy as much as possible in a high-profile family.

Baby Riot is only about a month old, but he's already been in the public eye for awhile. Rihanna memorably debuted her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, with her bump swaddled in bright red Loewe and Alaia. Riot Rose, we're so happy you're here!
