In order to bring functionality and sophisticated looks together, Nokia has announced the launch of three new mobile phones, namely Nokia 6600 fold, the Nokia 6600 slide and the Nokia 3600, in the European nations.

The compact Nokia 6600 fold phone can be unfolded by just one touch of a button, which is something different from the usual flip phones that need manual unfolding. You need to check out the bright 2.13-inch OLED screen displaying up to 16 million colors, 3G technology for fast and easy sharing of pictures and videos, an in-built 2 megapixel camera with double LED flash and access to Internet services that include Yahoo! Go and Flickr.

The high-gloss surface of the flip phone can be brought back to life by tapping twice to “wake up” the hidden outer display. It displays time, incoming messages, missed calls and many more functions. The double tapping function seems to be the unique function of the latest handset, allowing users to operate alerts and also put it on silent or reject the incoming phone calls.

Moreover, it also comes with the signature “smooth back” for comfort when opened, and remains subtle and compact when closed. It is priced at 275 EUR before taxes.

Claiming to be the Nokia’s smallest slider to date, the Nokia 6600 slide is housed in a glossy, high-quality steel covers and aluminum center key for elegance and simplicity. It features a 3.2 megapixel camera, access to internet services or multimedia message, a large 2.2-inch QVGA display with 16 million colors, an incorporated Nokia Maps application that is compatible with an optional Nokia Bluetooth GPS Module LD-4W; and separate navigation license.

Nokia’s 6600 slide is also capable of indicating time, snoozes, alerts and silences or rejects incoming phone calls when tapped twice. The lightweight Nokia Bluetooth GPS Module LD-4W is perfect for urban trekkers and leisure travelers. It will cost 250 EUR excluding taxes and subsidies.

Enclosed in a soft ceramic paint and metal combined with high gloss surfaces and gradated colors, the Nokia 3600 slide sports background noise cancellation, an integrated music player, capacity to store up to 3000 favorite songs on an optional 4 microSD card, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and 2 LED flash. It comes with the TV-out feature that connects to most television sets and also allows easy and fast sharing of pictures and videos.

Furthermore, it is also equipped with Nokia Maps application with an optional Nokia Bluetooth GPS Module LD-4W, along with over 15 million points of interests such as restaurants, shops, hotels and more. It costs 175 EUR excluding taxes and subsidies.

Nokia also offers its latest Bluetooth Headset BH-803, which comes in a sleek design and stainless steel body, which has an optional ear loop for comfortable wearing. It delivers exceptional voice quality, touch sensitive volume control and voice dialing activation.

All three Nokia phones are expected to hop on to the market by third quarter of 2008.
