Designed just after the war, the Tatraplan was named to pay homage to the first Communist economic plan. It was a less expensive car than the T97, but in the same class. The Air Cooled 4 cylinder engine is horizontally opposed (a boxer). Some cars were exported to Canada and Belgium. Our car came from Belgium and is original except for a new coat of paint and some chrome plating.
