It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elena Gallo on Thursday October 6, 2022, at the age of 81 years old.
Elena, beloved wife of Luigi, loving mother of Maria (Stewart), Rosalia and Lisa. Cherished Nonna of Callum and Caitlin. Daughter of the late Carmine and Amalia Cerasuolo, and dear sister of the late Alfonsina (late Antonio) Proietti, Orlando (Isabella), Angelo (late Ann), Alessandro (Maria) Cerasuolo. Sister-in-law of Ida (late Luigi) Coluni, Anna (Lorenzo) DiCerbo, late Pasquale, late Erminia, late Rosalia Gallo. Elena is survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She will be remembered for her strength, grace, courage, and strong never-ending love for her family that she cherished so deeply.
Throughout this journey she often said "Life is a blessing… Rise to it… Don’t be sad because I died... Be happy because I lived… I had a wonderful life".
Friends and family may visit at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 10 am to 12:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (114 MacDonald Ave) on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 9:30 am. Rev. Paul Conway officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
