Former Brazil star Rivaldo has revealed he is contemplating coming out of retirement and will start training again with Brazilian second division team Mogi Mirim.

The 43-year-old midfielder, who is club president of Mogi Mirim, made the announcement with the club bottom of the league and needing some inspiration.

Rivaldo says he may play "in a few matches", depending on how he performs during training. He says he hopes his "experience" will help the team "overcome this difficult moment".

Mogi Mirim have only three points from eight matches and are the only winless team so far in the second division.

Rivaldo, FIFA's player of the year in 1999,  hasn't played professionally since announcing his retirement in March 2014.
