If you own a Ferrari, then you might want to wash it yourself. Car wash workers keeping getting their hands on Ferrari models and wrecking them. One worker even mangled a Ferarrari 812 Superfast. Don’t let your supercar into the hands of the wrong person.

A Ferrari 812 Superfast was wrecked

According to Car Buzz, a Ferrari 812 Superfast was taken for a spin by a car wash worker. The employee was behind the wheel of this $409,504 car and lost control. They wrecked it into five other vehicles and a barrier.

The employee wasn’t injured, but the same can’t be said for the Ferrari and the other five vehicles involved. To make matters worse, the Ferrari was owned by Federico Marchetti, a high-profile football player. Marchetti is the goalkeeper for Genoa and Italy.

However, the employee wasn’t just getting behind the wheel for a joy ride. He was supposed to deliver the Ferrari to the Genoa team training base. Unfortunately, he lost control, and the vehicle may be damaged beyond repair.

Another Ferrari took a literal spin

Now let’s switch gears to Turkey. There is a Reddit video that shows another Ferrari being taken for a spin. It’s unclear who the owner was or if the employee was supposed to be taking the Ferrari out or not.

Also, the model hasn’t been verified. However, even if it isn’t the Ferrari 812 Superfast, it’s still a Ferrari. The owner probably won’t be happy to return and find his beloved car struggling against damage.

In the video, the wheels weren’t straight once the employee hit the gas. The driver accelerated too quickly, and the rear tire hit the curb. Then the Ferrari spun, and both of the front tires hit the median too. If the airbags were deployed, then the vehicle faces even more expensive damage along with the potential damage caused to the suspension.

What is the 2021 Fererai 812 Superfast like?

The Ferrari 812 Superfast has some serious muscle. The first digit is related to the car’s power rating of 800 Cavalli vapore, which is Italian for horsepower. It translates to 789 hp.

Also, the 6.5-liter V-12 provides 530 lb-ft of torque. The 12 corresponds to the cylinder count. There is a naturally aspirated V-12 sitting between the front fenders.

Torque is exclusively sent to the rear wheels in the 812 Superfast coupe and retractable-hardtop 812 GTS. It’s the first time in decades that Ferrari has offered a 12-cylinder convertible. It has a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a top speed of 211 mph.

Car and Driver accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in about 2.8 seconds in this beast. Luckily they knew what they were doing. The same can’t be said for some car wash employees. The standard carbon-ceramic brakes can bring the supercar to a quick stop too. It only took 142 feet to stop from 70 mph.

It only gets 12 mpg in the city and 16 mpg on the highway. But those who can afford a Ferrari can probably handle the costs of fuel. Also, the cabin has spacious seating for two with a keep your hands on the wheel at all times design. Buttons of the wipers, turn signals are on the spokes.
