Former Baywatch star Erika Eleniak looked unrecognisable from her days as a 90s pin-up as she made a rare public appearance.

The 54-year-old actress found fame on the hugely popular TV show in the 1990s, appearing alongside David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, but she has shunned the spotlight in recent years. The beloved Baywatch babe, who left the show after three seasons, now rocks sleeve tattoos and prefers a low-key life after being catapulted to superstardom thanks to her role on the show.

Erika wore loose pants and a baggy t-shirt as she ran errands in Los Angeles, and was joined by her daughter Indyanna, 18, who she shares with ex-husband Roch Daigle. The Under Siege star was later spotted hauling huge cardboard boxes outside her home, before taking her dog for a walk around the block. She looked cool and unfazed as she was papped by a photographer, and Erika tried to cover her age-defying looks with a baseball cap as she left her property.

Erika starred on Baywatch, which was one of the most watched TV shows in the world during its heyday in the 1990s, from 1989 to 1992, and was once engaged to her co-star Billy Warlock, who played her on-screen love interest Eddie. She later married bodybuilder Philip Goglia in 1998, but that relationship ended six months later. Erika then wed Roch Daigle, and the couple welcomed their daughter in 2006.

Their union eventually ended in divorce in 2007, and the actress recently shared a poignant post on social media about loneliness after 13 years of being single, which resonated with her loyal fans. In the video, she asked her followers how their mental wellbeing was impacted by being single.

“I've been thinking a lot lately about the difference between being alone and being lonely. And I've been a little lonely lately, which is interesting because I have spent many years by choice, alone, but I have never ever felt alone. I felt really fulfilled in a lot of different areas of my life. But as times change and people change, and people come and go, you know, I find myself lonely,” she said in the candid video.

Erika has previously spoken about her time on Baywatch, and said it was “like a big family” filming the hit show. “There was this big camaraderie… The cast and crew were just really amazing,” she said in 2018. However, she also revealed she had left the show after just three seasons because she wasn’t comfortable with the storylines becoming more racy. “It did take a different direction, but it is what made the show a phenomenon. I felt like it was a different show and no, I was not comfortable. It definitely wasn't my thing to be super risqué,” Erika explained.
