This week, we have been experimenting with the  Vision Pro headset and programmed a little gameplay prototype. It was important for us to have an experience that works in an augmented scene. The seemingly very basic gameplay of catching cubes that fly around you turns out to be the strong element of this game, creating some sort of relaxing casual experience that you want to play for longer than expected. We're still learning with this platform and are curious what else is possible to create in AR. I love the future with AR :)

Today we hosted 27 girls from whom we were able to learn about the future: 😍 Their presented game prototypes were really impressive! The kids were really invested into their ideas. 🤙 The kids are extremely digitally literate and already know their way around programming, mainly with Scratch. 🧠 When playtesting games, the kids already show adept strategic skills. 🧑🎨 Creativity and technology are naturally seen as an interdisciplinary combination. ⚡️ And our guests were also very quick: the places for this year's Future Day were fully booked within 12 minutes of going live. The animation shows our guests in action while playing one of our mixed-reality games outdoors. 🧐 Now that’s an interesting and unexpected announcement: after increasing monthly license fees per seat, extending minimal contract time from monthly to annual, Unity introduces a per game install “engine runtime” fee. Their business reasoning behind it mighy be similar to Adobe’s approach with Creative Suite plans, getting more revenue from the same stagnant customer base? I wonder if open-source Godot Engine and other “underdog” engines with more affordable licensing will thrive? Like Procreate and Serif (Europe) Ltd’s Affinity Photo got an opportunity with high-priced Adobe CS. Also, I wonder what this means for mixed-reality experiences: are the builders of next generation of AR/XR/metaverse/mixed-reality worlds willing to build on an open infrastructure / foundation that allows all kind of business and (free) usage models and accessibility for creator, and which is *predictable*, instead?
