The terms STI and STD sound similar; however, the terms STIs and STDs are not interchangeable. STD stands for “sexually transmitted disease,” and STI stands for “sexually transmitted infection.” STDs start as STIs. But not all STIs develop into STDs. With an STI, many carriers show no signs or symptoms of being infected. So, even if you do not have symptoms, you may have an STI that needs treatment. If you are concerned that you or your sexual partner may have an STI, talk to your healthcare provider. #Seegene #STI #STD
