When hydrosalpinx is caused by infection, antibiotics will be administered for treatment. However, if the infection is not the reason for the hydrosalpinx, it will be necessary to resort to surgical techniques. Among them the most important are:
- Salpingectomy
- elimination of the fallopian tubes, either unilaterally or bilaterally. This surgical option is applied when the hydrosalpinx is larger than 3 cm.
- tubal occlusion
- performing a blockade in the proximal area of the fallopian tube by electrocoagulation.
