Toyota Fortuner facelift has been revealed in Thailand and the SUV is looking quite premium with addition of a host of bells and whistles. There are changes to the front and rear of the new Toyota Fortuner. Even the cabin of the 2021 Toyota Fortuner has been updated to accommodate several fresh features. While the new Fortuner has debuted in Thailand, we are expecting it to arrive in India in the late 2021. Following its India launch, the Fortuner facelift will rival Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Alturas G4 and MG Gloster.
New Toyota Fortuner Features (Exterior)
Talking about the exterior updates in the 2021 Fortuner facelift, the front fascia has been redesigned. Although the grille is new, it does not look as bold as the one in the pre-facelift variant. However, we must add that new bi-beam LED headlamps with LED DRLs are pretty sharp and add a hint of premium touch to the SUV. Besides, the front bumper has been refurbished and houses new fog lights now. The rear of the new Fortuner facelift, more or less, remains identical to its predecessor, barring the LED taillamps that have been tweaked a bit.
New Toyota Fortuner Features (Interior)
Like always, the cabin of the new Toyota Fortuner facelift is quite spacious. Well, there has never been dearth of space in Fortuner for that matter. The front seats in the SUV are 8-way power adjustable. The multi-function steering wheel has controls for audio and voice, among others. There is a new Optitron instrument panel with a 4.2-inch multi-information display in the 2021 Toyota Fortuner. The centre console houses a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay.
New Toyota Fortuner Engine
The Thai-spec Toyota Fortuner facelift is equipped with a couple of diesel engines -- 2.4-litre (163hp and 400Nm) and 2.8-litre (204hp and 500Nm). Both the powertrains have 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT options. The Fortuner that is currently on sale in India comes with 2.7-litre petrol (164hp and 245Nm) and 2.8-litre diesel (175hp and 420Nm) mills, with 5-speed MT/6-speed MT and 6-speed AT choices, depending on the variant.
New Toyota Fortuner India Launch and Price
We are expecting the new Toyota Fortuner facelift to be launched in India in late 2021. The new Fortuner might be priced between Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
