Abby Hensel and Brittany Hensel are famous conjoined twins who are making the headlines. They made to fame when they first appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 1996 and later had their reality show on TLC. The show chronicled their lives post their graduation. But years later, today, the world is talking about them.

Recently, Abby officially revealed that she has been married to a US Army veteran Josh Bowling who is currently working as a nurse. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in November 2021, reported Today. Several images and videos of their first dance as husband and wife have surfaced on the internet and are amassing several views.

They sisters changed their profile picture on Facebook and can be seen wearing a dreamy white lace wedding gown with Joshua in a grey suit.

Who are Abby and Brittany Hensel?

Abby and Brittany Hensel are one of the few dicephalous-conjoined twins in history to have survived infancy. The 34-year-old sisters hail from Minnesota and according to a report by Today, are currently fifth-grade teachers. Abby and Brittany are dicephalous conjoined twins, which is a rare form of partial twinning where two heads both share one torso. As well as sharing all organs below the waist, the twins also share a bloodstream. Brittany controls their left arm and leg, while Abby controls the right.

Born in 1990, the parents of the twins refused surgery to separate them as it had a low probability of them surviving post-operation. This sister duo stand as an inspiration to several people out there.

In their older interviews, Brittany reiterated their desire to have families of their own, saying: ‘The whole world doesn’t need to know who we are seeing, what we are doing and when we are going to do it. But believe me, we are totally different people.’ even their parents have talked about their girls’ wishes about the same.

The sisters have opened up about how their parents have brought them up like any other normal children. In their eight-part series they said, “But our parents never let us use that as an excuse. We were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted to do.”

Since the day the news of their secret marriage surfaced, the internet has been abuzz with several questions. Some are questioning the legality while some have expressed some nasty views. In the first episode of the TLC reality show of the twins, they said, “People have been curious about us since we were born, for obvious reasons.” But this time people have invaded their private lives.

A week after their wedding post on their TikTok handle, the twins clapped back at all the hate comments and trolls. The conjoined twins broke their silence and captioned another TikTok post, “The internet is extra LOUD today.”They didn’t share any images online until last year.

They also posted another TikTok showing a photo with Josh and wrote: ‘This is a message to all the haters out there.- “If you don’t like what I do, but watch everything I’m doing, you’re still a fan.”

Paternity Suit Against Abby’s Husband Josh

The New York Post reported that Joshua Bowling has landed into legal trouble after his ex-wife filed a paternity suit against him. Annica, Joshua’s former wife gave birth to another child soon after her divorce. As per report by Daily Mail, it is now possible the paternity of the second daughter is in question. The court documents don’t make it clear as the daughter is a minor. According to the court records, Annica filed a request for a genetic test report just a few weeks ago, on March 7th, 2024.
