During the day honey bees can be seen disappearing into the balloon-like flowers, and at night in our region the sculpit patch turns into a soft fluttering cloud of moths. A native of the Mediterranean, the mild-flavored tender leaves and shoots are traditionally used in pasta dishes, risottos, and omelettes. Start indoors before last frost date.
