Save Infant Fatima 's Life from Aplasia Cutis

The child named, Fatima, was born in Nov. 2021 to a very poor family residing in Sialkot, Pakistan. Fatima is born with a rare condition called Aplasia Cutis Congenita which is found in 1 out of 10,000 infants. Baby with such condition is born with absence of certain layer(s) of skin, most often on the scalp, truck, arms, and legs. Since her birth, her father has been taking her to consult different doctors in other cities to see if any remedy or cure to such disease exist, Small town Sialkot's doctor has no remedy available to cure the child's condition. Ever since Fatima's mother was informed of her new born's condition, her blood pressure has not been normal and neither she is in her full conscience. Family doesn't have resources to buy medicines, bandages, therapy, and surgical care that the child requires for a possible cure. Fatima's father is a freelancer tailor in a small town and her mother is a house wife. Fatima has 1 other sibling who did not had such condition. Fatima's father also takes care of his brother's orphan children as well. Family can hardly make the ends meet and on top of that they are facing the challenge of raising Fatima with Aplasia.

Medical treatments of Aplasia Cutis Congenita include measures to prevent the drying out of the membrane by soothing, bland ointments. Antibiotics should be used only if signs of bacterial infection are present.

Surgical care may include the repair of multiple scalp defects that usually, but not always, respond to procedures less traumatic than skin grafts. These may include such techniques as tissue expanders to fill in large areas or flap rotation to ease a piece of skin over an affected area.
