Alvarez family ( Wolcott Rallison disease)

Dear family and friends, I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of the Alvarez family. For those of you who do not know them, I’m doing this for my Godson Enrique and his wife Destiny. They are the sweetest family with two precious little girls. Adelynn who will be 3 next month and Elianna who is one. Some of you may know, our precious Addy was hospitalized in September 2022 after running high temperature due to having elevated liver

enzymes. On November 28, 2022, the high temperatures returned and Addy had to be hospitalized again three hours away from their home. After several tests including CT scans and MRI’s doctors delivered devastating news that Addy had autoimmune hepatitis, Type 1 diabetes. On December 29th test confirmed that Addy had Wolcott Rallison disease (a rare genetic disease causing epiphyseal dysplasia,and liver failure) Addy has swelling of the brain, ultimately affecting Addy’s neurological system. Addy’s medical conditions have caused regression and she is now unable to walk and talk. She has been in the hospital for over a month. Her parents, Destiny and Enrique, have not left her side, making it difficult to return to work. Addy still has a long road ahead of her that will include being transferred to a rehabilitation children’s hospital with the goal of Addy regaining her speech and ability to walk. Her health remains fragile and requires close supervision. This is something that no parent is ever prepared to deal with. With her parents being unable to work consistently, it would be great for

Everyone to come together to support them during this difficult time. I know neither parent would ever ask for monetary help. But we all know how costly basic living expenses are, more so now than ever. With both parents at Addy’s side day and night, We can all assist with their primary needs of food, bills, travel, and of course medical expenses.
