Naomi Campbell On What To Expect In Her New MasterClass

Following

The world changed forever when Naomi Campbell debuted. The supermodel’s undeniable talent and megawatt star power put her in a league of her own. While she’s graced a multitude of runways and magazine covers throughout her career, it’s safe to say the knowledge she’s picked up along the way is immeasurable. Now she’s imparting that same knowledge to the next generation of game-changers through her first-ever MasterClass. With over three decades of experience and wisdom, Campbell will teach confidence through the scope of modeling. The class, available now, allows subscribers to pick up gems on various topics, including advice on how to face rejection and common misconceptions about the modeling industry.

“With this MasterClass, I wanted to share some of the invaluable information my 36 years of experience have taught me. I’ve been a model for many years, but I’m also an actress, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Self-confidence has been the common thread throughout all my evolutions. That’s what I’m teaching in this class: belief in oneself and the fearlessness to go after what you want. I want to continue the tradition of mentorship by becoming a mentor myself.”

When it comes to lessons that she wishes she would’ve learned early on in her career, Campbell feels that while there isn’t one in particular, she is constantly living and learning on her life’s journey.

“There isn’t any particular lesson,” Campbell told For(bes) The Culture. “We are all going through our journey of life, and I live and watch, learn and take notes, and try to apply them in the way that works best for me. This class doesn’t discriminate and is for everyone to feel good about themselves.”

It’s no secret that the legendary supermodel has left an indelible mark on the world of entertainment. From modeling and acting to entrepreneurship and philanthropy, her influence cannot be denied. This class, however, according to Campbell, is about more than wanting to be a model and is open to everyone.

“My MasterClass is not just about wanting to be a model; it’s a process in terms of how you want to carry yourself. It’s for that everyday person, whether you are in the industry or not. It is for everyone. This class is about personal empowerment and authenticity, the capacity we have to command a space, the influence to redefine society’s standards of beauty, the impact of our voices advocating for others, and the influence we have on those who come after us. Whether you have the confidence or not, you just appear to have it. You have to go with the correct intention for you and what you are doing.”

When it comes to chasing one’s dreams, the philanthropist feels that uniqueness and embracing individuality can go a long way.

“Never let anyone erase who you are because uniqueness is what makes you special,” Campbell said. “I want people to feel comfortable in their own skin and to find their narrative that explains them.”
