Former Real Madrid Superstar Kaka Reveals He Was Snubbed From the Brazil Squad for the 2014 World Cup

There have been very few players in the history of football who captured a fan’s attention, as Kaka did. The Brazilian legend’s meteoric rise to the top was only subdued by his incredible decline. However, he has still managed to etch his name in the world of football.
Kaka’s career began at Sao Paulo and his performances in the Brazilian Serie A warranted a move to AC Milan. Back in 2003, Milan was one of the biggest clubs on the planet and constantly challenged for the Champions League title, even winning it on several occasions.
Kaka made the club his own and became the best player in a team that boasted several great legends, like Andriy Shevchenko and Paolo Maldini. The Brazilian midfielder won the Ballon d’Or in 2007 and moved to Real Madrid after two years.

Why did Kaka not go to the World Cup in 2014?
It was in Spain where it all went wrong, as Kaka’s career was derailed by injuries. He never found his form again, and it went downhill from 2009. Kaka did play for Brazil in the World Cup in 2010 and showed his class with three assists, but couldn’t do the same at the club level.
Moreover, the legend was denied his swansong in 2014 when Brazil’s national team manager Luiz Felipe Scolari did not call him up for the World Cup. That edition of the competition was held in Brazil, something which must have hurt Kaka a lot.
