Departure from the hotel by buses. We will drive 30 minutes to the north of Antalya.

We will visit Termessos, the well-known Pisidian stronghold situated on Mt. Solymos, some 49 miles northwest of Antalya, Termessos, located on a mountain top in dense woodland, is one of the best preserved and untouched archaeological sites in Turkey. According to ancient sources, in 334 BCE, when Alexander the Great passed through the region he did not attack the city because of its impregnable location and carried on his way to Sagalassos. Among the remains are a gymnasium, Hellenistic theater, an agora, a necropolis with good examples of Pisidian sarcophagi and rock-cut tombs.

Tour details: This tour includes steep hiking up to the ancient city and requires good walking shoes and ability to walk uphill on a rocky path.
