Here is what his owner has to say about “Squiggy:”

I found him at a good friend of mine's farm, 6 years ago, as a 10yr old, standing in a field, looking for the right "job" for him. As far as we all knew he had never driven but he took to it like a duck to water - he just loved it. He was not always the easiest to drive but he always came to work, every single day and gave 110% all the time. He was so brave and if he questioned anything, he took my lead. We just trusted each other. Everyday was a good day with him, whether it was driving him or riding him or just hanging out with him on the farm. He became the pony that I could just throw a saddle pad and a halter on and go for a lovely hack, even after he had been out in the field for a week. Be became my rock through some very tough years in my life. We just understood each other.

I tragically lost him on March 1st this year. My heart and soul are shattered and there is an Irish headstone saying that says it all for me - " Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal" He was a true standard of his breed - tough, honest, quirky, hardworking, handy and just plain fun to be around.
