Morphology scan today

Had my morphology scan today, and all my fears were for nothing. Baby is measuring exactly to gestational age. And we are having a girl. The only thing that was noted was that I have a succenturiate lobe? Something to do with my placenta? Does anyone know what this means?

his article states that a placenta is normally formed as one piece, sometimes it can be a few pieces and the smallest piece being a succenturiate lobe.
  • From what I understand a succenturiate lobe means you have your main part of the placenta and then there's a little piece a short distance away from the main part but still connected to the big piece by veins etc. (if that makes sense).
If you google there are a few cartoon pics and some real photos of succenturiate placentas so beware if you're squeamish.

So glad bub is measuring well :)
