From the popular card game anime series, Yu-Gi-Oh!, the all-powerful Egyptian God card used by Yugi’s rival, Seto Kaiba, after the Battle City arc, Obelisk the Tormentor, is joining Kotobukiya’s lineup! At over 30cm tall, the impressive scale of this statue holds a powerful presence befitting one of the strongest cards in the series. Obelisk is also faithfully recreated as it appears in the series, with detailed shading and painting that give it a bold yet detailed appearance. From the fierce expression befitting of a god of destruction, the muscular form that looks strong enough to take down any enemy, and the sharp angles of the sculpt that highlights the scars on its form to the majestic cape-like wings, each detail of Obelisk the Tormentor is thoroughly recreated. Pre-orders will start at the same time as Slifer the Sky Dragon and The Winged Dragon of Ra, making this statue a must-have for fans who want to relive their fond memories of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series.

    I have a starting collection of figures, but this one is certainly the king of the collection! My favorite of the Egyptian God cards, the Tormentor towers in the collection with a product box to match his greatness. The statue is sturdy, so the spikes are a hazard if careless. Changing between Open Claw to Closed Fist is easy, and stays firmly in place. Easy to attack the wings in back. There are detachable pegs in the base, but he is balanced enough to stand wherever he wants. The head has limited rotation mostly due to the span of his horns and hulking shoulders. The weight is approximately 6 lbs (though my scale could be off). Either way, I am so happy and proud to own this Obelisk the Tormentor! The price was worth it!

    Obelisk is massive in all its glory. The box came in excellent condition- the box itself is beautiful! Obelisk has a lot of sharp pointed parts when you piece him together so as a heads up it may be easier to wear gloves. Comes with an extra hand to swap out for a different look. Love him!
