A New York Times best selling, multi-arc, character-driven story with great battles and strong-willed females that will appeal to males and females alike.

In a world where monsters called Yoma prey on humans and live among them in disguise, humanity's only hope is a new breed of warrior known as Claymores. Half human, half monster, these silver-eyed slayers possess supernatural strength but are condemned to fight their savage impulses or lose their humanity completely.

Former Claymores Cassandra and Priscilla appear to be headed toward an epic conflict, as the warriors protecting the Holy City of Rabona attempt to orchestrate a battle between these two savage elements in order to avert complete annihilation. However, when Clare and Raki step in, the Awakened Ones’ fury is redirected toward them!

Just when think you're at the end, there always something more to look forward to seeing. I enjoyed this book. Lots of fighting and an unexpected reveal.

I assume anyone buying this knows exactly what they are buying. Couldn't be happier with it and can't wait for the final volume to come out.

This book is the 26th volume in the Claymore series, and the second to last in the series. The last book in this series, volume 27, is due to release in October 2015. This book continued in the same vein as the first one; lots and lots of awesome fight scenes with a couple of amazing revelations.

Cassandra and the uber Awakened One continue their battle. Meanwhile Clare and Raki take on Priscilla in a final battle...or is it?

This book picks up where volume 25 left off. Lots and lots of fighting and some excellent action scenes throughout. It’s been awhile since I read vol 25, so I found a few of the fighting scenes a bit confusing and hard to follow.

Clare does take some time to reflect about how meeting Raki changed her life and her outlook on things; this was a nice aside. We also get some backstory on how Raki trained with Isley.

The majority of the book is the remaining Claymores trying to kick the stuffing out of Priscilla. There are some crazy twists right at the end of the book, seriously the end...like the last page.

This manga continue to be well drawn. I love watching how Clare has changed over the series.

Overall this is a good addition to this manga series. I can’t wait to see how things wrap up in volume 27! I would recommend this series to those who enjoy strong female characters and action packed fantasy manga.

It's Claymore. So if you like the series, you'll like this one. It does feel like it's finally getting close to the end.

Volume twenty six in the Claymore series of manga comics. This is a story about a world where humans live in fear of horrible creatures called Yoma. The only people who can fight them are Claymores. A group of women with special powers and very large swords.

This is not a good jumping on point. New readers should start with volume one. Those who have only seen the anime should start with volume eleven, which picks up from where that left off.

This volume is presented in the usual managa format. An A5 sized book of black and white art. Which is divided into six chapters and runs for one hundred and ninety one pages.

As with all manga, you read it from back to front and right to left, rather than the western left to right and front to back.

This one picks up from the end of volume twenty five, with Priscilla having learned something surprising. Can anyone take her down?
People are certainly going to try.

Although the bulk of this is once again Claymores versus big monsters with page after page of swordfights between them, there are great character moments which will stick with you for a while. Far more so than the swordfights. Because the former stop the latter from becoming repetitive, and they also do pack a real punch at times. Since characters who we have followed for a long time are placed in what really does feel like genuine jeopardy. So these moments really are pretty gripping.

The story still isn't done by the end. Which is a very good cliffhanger. And this does feel as if it's getting a little stretched out at times. But this will still leave you wanting to know what happens next. Since there is a listing here for Claymore complete, volumes one to twenty seven, we are clearly nearly at the end. Hopefully it should be a good finale
