Cannonball Run does not have the subtitles when the sheik goes past the guys on the camels. Very disappointing to see this. I am glad I have my other blu-ray copy that has HBO rights. Umbrella did a poor job on the first Cannonball Run. I will watch the second one later.

The quality is sub par to the U.S. release of Cannonball run, but for the second film this is about as good as it is going to get. the Jackie Chan sequences are not subtitled and the famous 20th century fox intro is missing (the chase intro). The only special feature is a trailer on the first film. I purchased this for the second film only and retained my U.S release of the first movie. At the price point paid I was way satisfied with the second film and was thrilled when i received it and it did play.

These have not been properly remastered, but the picture quality is most definitely better than the DVDs I have, which look no better than the VHS versions I also have. The case states DTS audio, but it is not, I think it's just standard 2 channel. My home theater system automatically switches to Dolby Digital or DTS when available. Engine sounds seem to be the same as the DVD release, so it's the original audio.

Not sure if it's really a HD picture. It's plenty grainy, but still beats the DVD. These fill the entire screen, so they are not in the original theatrical aspect ratio. They are 1.77:1 (16:9). Hopefully one day a proper remaster from the original studio will be released. Until then, this is as good as it gets, unfortunately.

I got the BluRay thinking it might have more outtakes. Nope. I sent back my first copy because Disc One would not play in my LG 3D player. I cleaned the player and the disc. Nothing. I was promptly sent another copy the minute I dropped the return at the UPS Store. Disc One loaded to menu once, then never again. I just went on and bought a regular DVD copy of the first Cannonball Run individually and I am all set.
