Sabu 7-Inch Figure Moving Forward, Possibly to be Completed This Year

The wait for the Uncensored Sabu 6-inch figure by Epic Toys is going to be a little longer.

Thirteen months after the figure was offered for pre-order and six months after it was expected to ship to consumers, the Sabu figure has still not been completed.

Epic Toys, which picked up the figure business from the now-defunct Challa Toys, offered a status check on the figure today. The company said the figure is “going ahead as planned,” but won’t be completed until “later this year.”

“The Uncensored line has a longer production time due to the articulation and style which means we are hoping to have Sabu complete later this year,” the company said. “We are seeking a better idea of a completion date from the factory and will provide a further update once we have this information.”

“We know that lots of you are waiting for the Uncensored Sabu. Sabu is still going ahead as planned.

“However, Sabu hadn’t been put into production prior to our takeover. So, we ensured Sabu was put into production as a priority.

“The Uncensored line has a longer production time due to the articulation and style which means we are hoping to have Sabu complete later this year.

“We are seeking a better idea of a completion date from the factory and will provide a further update once we have this information.

“We appreciate how frustrating this is and that the wait is far too long. We will share all updates as and when we have them.”

This was the first update since January, when the company said the figure was expected to be completed in late summer. The figure was expected to ship in January 2023, following pre-orders in May 2022.
