The Definitive Historical Atlas of the Battle of Berlin

Maps:

Overview of the final drives on Berlin. Blue and Purple lines represent British and American fronts. Green arrows represent Soviet advances (Keegan, 1989).
The penultimate Soviet advance through Poland and East Prussia.
Overview of the moving front lines during the final days of the war (Keegan, 1989).
Final Soviet drives on Berlin. Notice the locations of Wenck, Busse, and Op Group Steiner which are represented by blue rectangles (Antill, 2005).
Zhukov’s main attack was a front assault up the Seelow Heights. The first red line near the word “Kustrin” is the first German defense line. General Heinrici moved his troops back to the second line near the word “Seelow.” This saved countless German lives and severely held up Zhukov’s assault (Battlefield, 1995).

The Battle of Berlin Block by Block – A Series of Maps by Day and Place:

Battle situation on the night of April 24 and 25. Blue outline represents the main German defense line (Battlefield, 1995).
Battle situation on April 26 (Battlefield, 1995).
Battle situation on the evening of April 27 (Battlefield, 1995).
Battle of Berlin situation on the afternoon of April 28 (Battlefield, 1995).

(Pimlott, 1995)
Another view of the final battle for the government district (Antill, 2005).
Plan of Hitler’s concrete bunker where he committed suicide (Bradsher, not dated).
Another view of the final drive on Berlin. Notice Spandau in the left-hand corner, spanning the river. It was here that thousands of Hitler Youth gave their lives to keep an exit open for the city defenders. Their lives were thrown away. There was no retreat (Keegan, 1989).
