Simone Inzaghi will be desperate to win the Champions League tonight as his Inter Milan side take on Manchester City.

Inzaghi has the chance to write his name in Inter history as he aims to lead the Nerazzuri to their first European success in 13 years.

The 47-year-old will likely only be thinking about his job on the touchline come Saturday’s final, but there may be something more personal in the back of his mind. 

And that would be the chance of joining his extremely well-known brother by lifting the Champions League trophy.

Is Simone Inzaghi related to Filippo? 

The Inter Milan boss is the younger brother of Italian football icon Filippo Inzaghi. 

Filippo is a legend in Italy, spending his whole career in his home country and winning the Serie A three times.

He played made 202 appearances for AC Milan while also winning two Champions League titles with Inter’s bitter rivals. 

The striker’s incredible career was filled with silverware and he sits sixth in the all-time European club competition scoring charts. 

Filippo’s success on the pitch was not matched by his brother Simone who won one Serie A title during his time at Lazio. 

However, Simone has experienced a better career off the pitch so far, taking charge of Lazio and Inter while Filippo is now boss of Serie B side Reggina.
