ORIGIN AND CHARACTERISTICS

Yucca elephantipe is a succulent endemic to Central America. Belonging to the Agavaceae family, which are characterized by being shrub-like plants of small size.

Its leaves are green and narrowly lanceolate, and it consists of several sparsely branched trunks that can reach up to 15 meters in height, several sparsely branched trunks arise near ground level.

 On mature plants, hemispherical pendulous flowers appear, white to cream in color, on dense, upright panicles. Flowering takes place from summer to fall.

DECORATION OF ... EXTERIOR OR INTERIOR?

This Yucca is perfect to decorate our garden, although being small we can also incorporate it into our home in a vase that suits your needs. They need full sun exposure and well-drained soil. The specimens grown in pots should be watered sparingly.

CARE FOR CACTUS AND SUCCULENTS

They are showy and very pretty plants that hardly need maintenance.

- They prefer places with direct light or good lighting, preferably next to a window, on a balcony, terrace or in their garden.

- It supports low temperatures, around 5ºC.

- It is essential that they have good drainage, both in the ground and in pots.
