The night of the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati is finally here, and today we will share with you a list of foods that he loves to consume that one can offer while doing the puja. All these foods are dearly loved by Lord Shiva, and he gets easily pleased with the offering of these foods.

Bael fruit

Also known as the wood apple, this delicious fruit is like a metaphor for Lord Shiva as it has a tough exterior with a soft pulp inside.

Dairy products

Lord Shiva is truly considered a Bhole Baba as he feels content in the simplest offerings. This is why people love offering milk and its byproducts, like barfi, peda, and kheer, on the Shivalinga while performing puja.

Bhaang

Bhaang is Lord Shiva's favourite drink, made with crushed hemp leaves, chilled milk, and lots of dry fruits and sugar, and Maha Shivratri puja is incomplete without it, as it is said to calm him from the deadly poison Halahal.

Also known as jujube fruit, Ber is an extremely nutritious fruit that’s considered sacred for Lord Shiva. The fruit is also said to have calming properties and is a good source of antioxidants.
