Plot Review
Air Gear brings a fun, futuristic twist to roller skating and offers Air Trecks, motorized inline skates. These Air Trecks or AT are the current trend in the country and are equipped with a speed limiter to ensure the safety of the user and everyone around them.
However, some members of the younger generation are brave enough to modify these devices and remove the speed limiter. They are called Storm Riders and form teams to fight in the underground races.
Itsuki Minami is the protagonist of the story who forms a team called Kogarasumaru with his friends as he becomes a fan of AT.

1) Itsuki Minami
The show's protagonist, Itsuki is an energetic teenager addicted to AT racing. He lives with the Noyamano family and they are the ones who introduced Itsuki to AT racing. He also forms the AT racing group, Kogarasumaru and is often referred to as Ikki and Crow.
2) Kazuma Mikura
Kazuma Mikura is Ikki's childhood best friend and joins Kogarasumaru after Ikki trained him. He is a very fast AT driver, who has several tricks up his sleeve. While Ikki bullied him when they were kids, their friendship has improved since then. Kazuma considers Ikki one of the most important parts of his life.
3) Akito/Agito Wanijima
Akito Wanijima is the Fang King of the Bloody Road with his dissociative personality, Agito. The two personalities are contrasting, with Akito being innocent and gentle while Agito is aggressive and violent. Akito and Agito leave the Wind SWAT team to join Kogarasumaru.
4) Sora Takeuchi
Sora Takeuchi is the main antagonist of Air Gear. It was he who formed the Sleeping Forest and became its first Wind King. Sora is originally a child of gravity and that's why he wants to find the Sky Regalia. He outwardly appears to be a carefree and evil man, but his true cold and manipulative nature lies beneath the facade.
5) Ringo Noyamano
Ringo is the third Noyamano sister who succeeded the Sleeping Forest and the title of Queen of Thorns from her sister. She grew up alongside Ikki and has deep feelings for him, although she never expresses them. Ringo is shy and studious in her normal life while becoming more confident and assertive as the Thorn Queen.
6) Issa Mihotoke
Formerly leader of the Night Kings, Issa Mihotoke joins Kogarasumaru after Ikki defeats his team. Issa is a huge man who appears obese but is not. His large body is the result of blood accumulating in his gut due to his overreactions. His nickname is Buccha.
7) Onigiri
Onigiri is Ikki's perverted childhood friend who joins Kogarasumaru. He has a special way of driving an AT: he sits on it and looks over the girls' skirts. Onigiri sweats a lot and calls this sweat "Smell Road". Although it's a nuisance most of the time, it has its moment in racing.
8) Emily Adachi
Emily Adachi is one of Team Kogarasumaru's friends and supporters. She has a crush on Kazumi and always tries to help him when she can. Emily is on the track team and demonstrates surprising tenacity and endurance. She is also a good friend of Yayoi and Ringo.
9) Yayoi Nakayama
Like Emily, Yayoi Nakayama is Kogarusumaru's friend and supporter. She initially bullied Ikki with Emily under Bucchi's influence, but later became good friends with him. Yayoi also has a special bond with Agito.
