Beauty queens expose Berlusconi’s ‘bunga bunga’ parties

MILAN — Lurid revelations published Wednesday in an Italy daily gave a glimpse into prime minister Silvio Berlusconi’s infamous “bunga bunga” parties.

In excerpts of police interviews conducted earlier this month and published in the Corriere della Sera daily, beauty queens Ambra Battilana and Chiara Danese described a night of debauchery at the playboy premier’s Arcore mansion near Milan, involving topless dancing, stripteases and singing.

Lawyers for Berlusconi, who is standing trial in a Milan court for paying for sex with an underage prostitute and abuse of power, rejected the report as “entirely without foundation,” the ANSA news agency reported.

Battilana and Danese, both 19, told police they were invited to a “bunga bunga” party at the mansion on Aug. 22, the report said.

Berlusconi called the women in attendance “my girls,” while they called him “Daddy” and sung “Thank God for Silvio.” After dinner, the 74-year-old said, “Are you ready to bunga bunga?” The women cried in unison, “Yes.”

The women went on to describe the titillating game in stark detail, with Berlusconi urging on the participants.

Battilana and Danese, who were due to compete in the Miss Italy pageant, said they did not want to take part, but were warned by a friend of Berlusconi that they would not win the pageant if they left.
