Westchester High School is over all a good school curriculum wise! I do have a problem with the Riff Raff that is allowed there. I feel that every team needs STRONG leadership without that you're NOTHING!!!
Administration are known to be VERY RUDE & unprofessional!
That becomes bothersome when taking care of business. Rules are rules and need to be followed by EVERYONE including all staff!!!
Now the principal is Forcing uniforms..for what? For all the wrong reasons. You're not going to stop girls from being hoochies and the boys from sagging.. it all can still be done. If You're forcing students then Your ENTIRE staff needs to dress professionally.
Most of the teachers come to work looking like random people off the street!! YOU LEAD BY EXAMPLE!!!!

I went here back in the 80s when it was a good school. but since the cuts of the Reagan administration it have fallen on hard times. i remember one time we got a flat tire on our bus and we get to school an hour late. whoo hoo! good times. I remember doing the pop lock and the backstroke in the cafeteria. that food stank! we called the burgers booger burgers and the Mexicans called the tacos tio tacos because they said they the gringo idea of tacos. They also had auto shop, in which I learned how to start up a car without keys and what to do if you lock your keys in your car which led me to Riverfront correctional in Jersey many years later where I learned to make license plates.

This high school still has the WORST people skills and customer service yet. Now as an alumnus, It is normal for me to have some animosity towards my old stomping grounds, because it was bad then. But to come back 5 years later and the workers and staff are STILL rude? It's a shame. I came up here to retrieve my official sealed transcripts and I was greeted with a rude "can I help you" from the Main office clerk. She acted as if I'm not supposed to be there. Then, I had to wait 45 minutes for her to page the woman who handles transcripts. Apparently she stepped out from her office KNOWING that I was coming up to the school. Long story short, the staff in the Main Office and Ms. Sinclair in the counseling office are extremely rude and grumpy. They need to adjust their attitudes when dealing with adults. I would suggest new staff. This is why I graduated from this school and never looked back.

It's not a bad school the problem here is that you have a lot of kids coming from different areas.... wonder why they don't go to their school in the own area... That's why people who live in the area put their kids in private school!!
