Diagrammatic representation of heads of some important fleas (Table 1). The occurrence of combs ( PC, GC), the arrangement of setae ( SE) and the shape of the antenna ( AT) are specific. AG, antennal grove; AT, antenna; CA, caput; GC, genal comb (with several spines); OC, ocellus; PC, pronotal comb (with several spines), PR, pronotum; SE, seta.
