Italian filmmaker Lakshen Sucameli has made a documentary series on spiritual guru Osho Rajneesh. Reportedly, it is a compressed version of the documentary series Ten Thousand Shades of Osho. The title of the documentary film is Osho the Movie. Speaking about the same at the Yashwant International Film Festival, the filmmaker shared that he was working on a feature film over ten years ago; however, things didn't go as planned. Hence, he switched to docu-series which took over five years to make.

The director stated that the late Irrfan Khan was his first choice, and even the actor liked the spiritual guru. He added that if he had been the producer and if Irrfan was still alive, he would have cast him as Osho in the film. Well, we are sure that the late actor would have nailed the performance as Osho in the film.

The filmmaker, who himself was a part of the Osho movement, stated that the docuseries is not a "propaganda piece." He stated that it examines all the sides of Osho's life, which also includes his return to India, his time in an Oklahoma jail cell, being incarcerated under a false name, being poisoned, and a lot of other things. Speaking about releasing the series on OTT, Sucameli stated that they are currently going from one film festival to another, and after that they would seal a deal with any one of the streaming giants - Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Disney+ Hotstar.
