Woman sentenced to 26 years for deadly crash hours after DUI hearing

A woman was sentenced on Friday to 26 years for crash that killed two people.

Police said Stephanie Ferguson, 30, was driving a Toyota Tundra pickup truck on Jan. 22. 2015 when she rear-ended a stationary Cadillac sedan at the intersection of Jefferson Street and 3rd Avenue North.

Willie Nichols, 64, and Aaron Hall, 66, died in the crash. Judge Monte Wakin's office said Ferguson was sentenced on Friday to 26 years in prison.

Ferguson had been to a court appearance for her third DUI moments before the deadly crash.
