For days Fishspot have been laying in wait for the magic moment of the Vulgata hatch on some of the many lakes in Snåsa to happen. However when we left Grønningen lake on friday the hatch had not yet transpired. But we could tell it was just around the corner – maybe a day or three. Seagulls where hanging around the hot-spots and we saw a few really big fish move. With a few days of warm weather, the fishing will come off.

In Grønningen lake you will fin both big trout and arctic char. In the over 2000 fishing waters and an array of creeks and rivers, the Snåsa region is your oyster to enjoy. This is mainly a place for the outdoors man going on longer expeditions, but you will find accessible fishing both from road or boat. Heggsjøene  lakes as you can see on the picture requires about 5 kilometers of hiking from the Grønningen lake parking lot. Snåsa Mountain board have 12 cabins for rent and a number of boats.
