Genital Herpes

Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). It can cause painful sores or blisters in the genital and anal areas. Genital warts, on the other hand, are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and result in growths or lumps in the genital and anal regions.

 Causes:

 Genital Herpes: HSV, primarily HSV-2, is responsible. It spreads through sexual contact with an infected person.

Genital Warts: HPV, specifically certain strains, causes genital warts. It's transmitted through skin-to-skin contact during sexual activity.

Symptoms:

Genital Herpes: Painful sores, itching, and flu-like symptoms. However, some infected individuals may not show noticeable symptoms.

Genital Warts: Small growths or lumps in the genital or anal areas, often painless. They can vary in size and appearance.

Risk Factors:

Genital Herpes: Unprotected sexual activity, multiple sexual partners, and a weakened immune system increase the risk.

Genital Warts: Unprotected sex, having multiple sexual partners and a weakened immune system contribute to the risk.

Ayurvedic Management of Genital Warts / Herpes-

In Ayurveda, the traditional system of medicine in India, the management of genital warts involves a holistic approach aimed at balancing the body's energies (doshas) and enhancing the immune system. Here are some Ayurvedic recommendations:
