Ananas Bracteatus by Dida Sinclair, 2017.

I love painting this pineapple. I have never seen a young pineapple with flowers in it! The design is describe in the botanical term, ‘Fibonacci’, it’s a nature numbering system. It is just amazing! Can also find the spiral curved patterns on durian and pine cone. I found this pineapple in Aruah Bapak’s house… another challenge I will paint the pineapple that is growing in my own garden!
