Deutsch: Fruchtstand (Kapselfrüchte) der Rotbuche. Die Rotbuche (Fagus sylvatica) stammt ursprünglich aus Nordamerika und ist heute in Europa ein weitverbreiteter Laubbaum. Der Baum wird bis zu 300 Jahre alt, blüht jedoch erst in einem Alter von etwa 35 Jahren.
English: Infructescence (pod fruits) of the European beech. The European beech (Fagus sylvatica) originally comes from North America and is now a widespread deciduous tree in Europe. The tree can live up to 300 years, but does not flower until it is about 35 years old.
