Elisabetta Canalis is now dating a ‘True Blood’ star

It takes a lot to surprise us when it comes to unexpected celebrity pairings. But we must admit this one really did stop us in our tracks, so to speak.

Mehcad Brooks, better known as Eggs from "True Blood," is apparently dating Elisabetta Canalis, better known as George Clooney's ex-girlfriend. Your mind is blown, right? Sort of? A little bit?

TMZ reports that the two had a "romantic dinner" in Los Angeles this week, which they left together in Brooks' SUV.

And Brooks made it seem even more legit by playing it super coy when asked by TMZ about the romance.

"How did you guys meet?" asked TMZ. "We didn't meet... I have no clue what you're talking about," Brooks responded, with what TMZ describes as a "big, GUILTY smile." (Oh TMZ, don't ever change...)
