Human Flea - Pulex Irritans




Fleas attack humans and warm-blooded vertebrates, such as dogs, cats, poultry, rabbits, mice, to feed on blood. They are serious carriers of typhoid and bubonic plague diseases. Flea bite is quite annoying as it causes severe itching as well as dangerous because they are hosts for many pests.

Adult fleas are excellent jumpers. They jump from 20cm to 35cm distance. They are recognized by their three pairs of legs.  They are 1.5-3 mm long, dark brown and wide-shaped. Females lay 15-20 eggs a day and a total of 600 eggs in their lifetime.
