In this blog post, I’m going to be showing you how to make “Ebly” which is a brand name for pure durum wheat. This is a really easy & simple recipe so go and try it for yourself!
For this dish you will need:
- 3 onions
- 1 whole garlic, maybe 2
- 2 carrots
- Ebly
- 2 tins of chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp / cube chicken stock
- A drop of red wine (optional)
- Dried basil
- Crushed black pepper
- Grana Padano / Mature Cheddar cheese on top
Preparation method:
1. To start with, chop up the onions and the garlic. Alternatively, you could crush the garlic to enhance the flavour. Heat the pan with olive oil and fry up the onions & garlic.
2. Next, chop up the carrots and add them to the frying pan.
3. Now you can add the Ebly. Add as much as you’d like!
4. Stir the Ebly around for a bit and then add the chopped tomatoes! Sprinkle some dried basil or other herbs on top. You could also add a drop of red wine here to add depth to the flavour.
5. Once the liquid is bubbling up, add the chicken stock and stir.
6. Serve up the Ebly in a bowl and sprinkle black pepper and Grana Padano / Mature Cheddar cheese on top! Both taste delicious! 🙂
