The Bearberry also known as Arctostaphylos uva-ursi is a genus of Dicotyledonous Angiosperm plants that belongs to the family Ericaceae. The genus includes about 70 species found mainly in Central and North America. It is a small evergreen shrub with small glossy leaves and white or pink flowers. Its fruits are crimson and shiny and have a sour taste.

It is a diuretic herb that helps treat urinary stones, cystitis and other inflammations of the urinary tract. In addition, it has an antiseptic and astringent effect on the mucous membranes of the urinary system.

Making Tea: It is prepared as an infusion. Put 1 tea spoon of the dried herb in a cup of boiling water and leave it for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Drink up to three times a day.
