ONI KYAN...."Demon Camber"

Guess this is quite the rage in Japan.
Just saw car here in Bangkok sporting the same "demon camber" in the back just like the pics above.
On a dayglo orange Honda.
Literally riding on the inner sidewalls and using very little of main section of tread.
Guess you don't get too many klicks with your tires.
But you definitely get the stares from absolutely everyone.

Very "wack" if you ask moi...

Is this also popular in the States?
Don't remember seeing it in Portland, OR when I'm in town.

I saw a lexus with this setup it had what looked like new tires in the rear and the inner edge say about 2 inches wide was actually on the road and it was worn badly,
the rest of the tire looked new and untouched.

I saw one of those in the city. It has to drive like crap. Virtually no traction. Very stupid look.

The other day I saw a BMW on the side of the road that looked like that. It was just the right rear wheel, though.

I think we are going to enter an era where non-certified modifications to the suspension will be barred from public highways.

When you start screwing around with vehicle ride height, spring rate, wheel size, camber, etc. you are headed where most of us haven't gone and have no real idea of all the consequences.

You want to make a piece of 'rolling sculpture'? Fine. Just keep it away from me. Yes. I'm talking about monster lifts for trucks, vehicles which lack the ride height to get over a turd and dumb arsed stuff such as was pictured above.

Flame away!

I think it came from japanese standards that dictate the tread must not extend past the fender. That's why the kids all stretch their tires and camber them like that.

They want their cars to look like caricatures these days. Looks like ****.

Yep, usually , when they come in the shop looking like that, it means I am about to make some coin!

I hope you are right. There needs to be some limits to protect the safety of the other drivers.

Yea, but the first time a monster truck pulls up behind you and all you can see is tires, you will want him off the road. The government does not have to get bigger, just enforce the laws of safe vehicles.

Camber doesn't look bad but toe is way out there. Must be the NASCAR entry from Porsche.

No flame from me. I agree 100%. It's against the law for the driver to be impaired, it ought to be against the law for a vehicle to be impaired, whether through neglect or the intent of the owner.

Not at all. You can still allow POS rolling sculptures on your private highway. Its the ones we all use and pay for that can't be used as your private playground.
